I feel so honored that you would comment :) The Vagina Monologues were personally very empowering to me; I've never had the opportunity to see them in person but the book is amazing. It helped me to understand in a very deep way the violence of privilege. My loneliness - actually more like my all-alone-ness and it's associated shame - was beyond pain... and all of that landed squarely on top of my dysphoria. So in my life I internalized my violence, and directed it toward myself. I am so glad there are better ways to accomplish my surgery - for instance, maybe engage a surgeon? :) It is so important to be who you are. I am so much happier now that I've immigrated. When will you be putting on V next? Do you do it in association with V-Day? Hi KA!
