First Annual Scott Turner Memorial Bake Sale: Sunday at Mad Myrna’s

Submitted by on Saturday, 5 May 2012 – 5:49 PMOne Comment

First Annual Scott Turner Memorial Bake SaleIn honor of our dearly departed friend, Scott Turner — who is not dead, he just moved away! — we proudly present the 1st Annual Scott Turner Memorial Bake Sale, benefiting the Four A’s, Sunday at 4:00 PM at Mad Myrna’s.

Make a cake, a batch of muffins or perhaps a loaf of bread to donate. Not a baker? Come along and bid for the goods — something for everyone’s tastes! Even eggs! — Sarha says the FoxDen will have Fresh FoxDen Egg gift certificates that you can bid on. The winner will get fresh eggs delivered to them every week for 2 months this summer!

Before he had to move away, Scott Turner organized an annual bake sale and bake-off to raise funds for the Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association (Four A’s): the newly named Scott Turner Memorial Bake Sale not only continues this great fundraising tradition, but also honors Scott’s many contributions to Anchorage’s LGBT community. We miss you, Scott!
